Other than the sound chip, this board is VERY nice. Another thing I don’t really like about it is that there is no way to adjust the treble. Tue Jan 13, My question is, is the CE worth the extra money? I would consider getting a soundcard if you are serious about gaming little cpu usage , and the pops and crackles get to you.. Both are RAID capable. It’s not great, but it works.

Aug 4, Posts: The only crackling I’ve noticed is when Windows first starts up. I am not at my PC right now, and I don’t reboot or power down often so I can not speak to the p4c800/p48p00 during power on. The service and support has always treated me great.
You won’t have any regrets if you go with this combo.
If the Asus P4P Deluxe is as good for general gaming as the other two more expensive boards then i’m not gonna go spend that extra cash on either p4c8000/p4p800 them I thought the P4C was just too expensive.
